Quoc has been at the forefront of clean tech for almost 30 years, building world class teams, and leading R&D and demonstrations of innovative solutions to a broad range of climate and energy challenges. Prior to co-founding Electra, Quoc was the VP of Technology for AquaHydrex, which developed an alkaline water electrolyzer for the hydrogen economy, and Staq Energy, which developed sealed nickel-iron battery for distributed use in energy storage solutions. Earlier in his career, he was Vice President of Technology for EnerVault, which developed a second-generation Fe/Cr flow battery for grid-scale energy storage, and CTO and co-founder of Evogy, which developed and demonstrated a solid oxide fuel cell for portable and distributed power generation.



Upon graduating with his Bachelor of Science at Ecole Nationale Supérieure de Chimie – Toulouse, France, Quoc went on to receive his PhD in Solid State Chemistry from the University of Caen, France.
